You may have noticed a big empty space in the DP Blog of late. We have been so busy working that there's been no free time to blog. I'm writing this one simply to catch us up and let the world know what we've been working on.
In mid August we launched a site for the Orlando based law firm
Alvarez, Sambol, Winthrop & Madson that involved a considerable helping of CSS goodness. The client is off and sailing with i3SiteTools to manage all of the content. Like the majority of the sites we deliver, this is the sweetest part.
We had the opportunity again this year to do a site for the
Taste of Atlanta event and this one was definitely a "churn and burn" as we like to say. I think we built the entire thing in 5 days, complete with an i3SiteTools backend.
We are poised to launch a number of sites that have been in production for the last couple of months: Jones Pierce Architects, Extremely Productive Inc. and Silver Lining. Additionally, there's a very large business application for
Store Floors that we've been putting through the final paces and hope to put into production very soon.
In the pipe are three projects that we are very excited about, one of which is
Hermann International. We are building an international portal for them that will have e-commerce integration with their NetSuite backoffice system. Another site just coming out of design and headed into codeland is for the custom jewelry designer
Ken Goldwasser. This one's got a cool Flash application for customers to come in and view private "vaults" containing images with a draggable loupe for zooming in on details and message threading.
Finally, as we speak, the team is heads down coding a state of the art application for Quest Medical, a national nurse staffing agency. This complex multi-step application form is being done with a tasty combination of AJAX, JSON and ColdFusion. For the uninitiated, this means a fast loading, refreshless interface that does not require Flash. Think
Google maps for online nursing applicants.
There's plenty of other stuff we've been up to, but there's no need to get tedious here ;-) As always look for some cool new posts about all the cool tricks we learn.
