Last month, we bid farewell to Jenny Walsh who has been a key member of our development team for the last two years. Her passion for CSS and AJAX energized our team and pushed the envelope on the kind of web applications we have been building. She will be missed.
To replace Jenny we hired not one, but two new developers! We would like to welcome Darin Kohles and Colleen Cox to the DP family. Darin was literally, a “rocket scientist” with his Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering before he decided he wanted to be a programmer. He has extensive knowledge of programming and can work in a number of languages including C++, JavaScript, ColdFusion, ActionScript. Darin has become our resident problem solver, with his tenacious ability to drop into virtually any type of code and make sense of it. Currently, as well as learning the ropes and developing new modules for i3SiteTools, Darin is knee-deep in the Alpha release of Macromedia’s FLEX 2.0 framework building some prototypes for future Rich Internet Applications.
In her first month here Colleen has more than proven her worth to DP, slipping easily into the production schedule and picking up where Jenny left off. Her extensive knowledge of ColdFusion, HTML, CSS and SQL make her an amazing resource for the majority of our day-to-day work. Presently Colleen is putting the finishing touches on a brilliant AJAX powered Application for Quest Medical Staffing, a nurse staffing company.
We are excited about the 10 years of success that DP has had and also about the roles that our two newest team members will play in taking us to the next level.
Look for Darin and Colleen in future blogs.
